Spirituality encompasses such a broad arena that there is really no way to define it in a single sentence. For you, who is on a conscious spiritual journey, you already know that once you go down the rabbit hole of spirituality it just keeps on going!

On a conscious spiritual journey, there tends to be significant 'landmarks' of Spiritual Awakening. These might include a spontaneous Awakening experience; a massive realization; a plant medicine ceremony; an amazing session with a healer; or hearing/seeing/sensing spirits, guides, or Higher-Dimensional Beings.

But in between these 'woah' experiences, there can often be a feeling of 'now what?' There can be a yearning for the next big spiritual experience or Awakening moment.

But, in a broader sense there is much more to the Awakening journey than just these major moments. Spiritual Awakening is also a new way of life.

So when you're feeling that sense of yearning, longing, or the 'now what?', it is helpful to go 'back to the basics'. One of the first books that I read on my Awakening journey were 'A New Earth' and 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't read them yet to read them, as the books themselves bring you into a state of Presence.

We can't forget the 'basics' of spirituality: being Present; being Loving; being forgiving; laughing; learning to be with the breath; treating the body with love and care; being in touch with the natural world; moving the body; being creative; being in Joy; being grateful.

There can be times during the journey when you feel like you've 'been there, done that' when it comes to the basics. But the basics are a constant necessity along the journey, running in the background of those big Awakening moments. When you feel like there is something you need to know or find or you feel like there's a problem you need to solve, often the solution is simply in going back to the basics (or, the solution presents itself AFTER you've gone back to the basics).

The net result of remembering to honor the basics is that you are going to be happier and more content with life, which energetically puts you into the zone of what I like to call ALIGNMENT. When you are in Alignment, life feels like it flows with grace, and you feel happy, whether life is how you want it to be or not. And from that space of grace, you're much more able to make the changes that are necessary to bring your life a little bit closer to how you want it to be!

As simplistic and corny as it might sound, 'Live, Laugh, Love' really are words to live by.

Wishing YOU Peace, Love, Contentment, and Laughter,

Matthew John <3
