Happy New Moon in Pisces! The New Moon becomes exact on Saturday, March 13 at 5:21 AM New York time (10:21 GMT). This is the final New Moon before the upcoming Equinox on March 20! Pisces is a mutable water sign that represents the realms of emotions, spirituality and intuition. It is a flexible, etheric, watery sign that encourages us to feel rather than think. It is the last sign of the Zodiac, thus representing our spiritual journey (Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, represents the entrance into the physical journey). Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces, conjuncts feminine Venus, the moon, and the sun—so the Piscean energy is extra potent right now with this stellium.
Pisces teaches us to feel, honor and appreciate all emotions, even the not-so-comfortable ones. So many Lightworkers are having all sorts of emotions come up during this Pisces season. Sometimes you can clearly attribute the emotions to something that is going on in your life but oftentimes the emotions seem to come out of nowhere or seem way too potent for whatever seems to trigger it. The truth is that we all have a reservoir of unprocessed emotions held within. These emotions are the leftover residue of traumas experienced earlier in life, as well as past-life traumas and, yes, even our parents' and ancestors' traumas! This is because when as a soul we choose the body into which we are going to incarnate, we know that we are not only bringing into the incarnation the karma (actions) of all of our previous physical incarnations as that the soul, but we are also taking on the ancestral memories of those in our physical genetic lineage. Incarnating physically requires a lot of bravery, as not only are you coming from the light, etheric spirit world into the dense (and often painful and scary) 3D physical world, but you're bringing a lot of energetic baggage with you, unless you're a Bodhisattva. [I would define a Bodhisattva as a being who has already attained Ascension through this earthly experience and has returned to the Earth to be here and to teach/contribute energetically—carrying in little or perhaps even no unresolved karma. (This is different than a Starseed, though one can be a Starseed as well as a Bodhisattva.) Bodhisattvas are rare; there are likely a very small number of them on this planet.]
These stuck emotions can remain buried for years, decades, or even lifetimes—that is, until something like a healing session, a traumatic experience or a spontaneous energetic event (could be a response to an influx of strong Ascension energies) forces the emotions to come out, whether it occurs as a cleansing session of shedding tears or a spontaneous outburst of anger/passion. Anger and passion are actually a similar energy; passion is the higher expression of it, while anger is the lower. It can be said that those who tend to have angry outbursts are in one sense suffering from repressed passion/creativity. One of the things that I have learned over the years is that anger expressed outwardly never actually diffuses it—the energy simply cycles back and will come out again later. The only way to actually diffuse it is to sit with it, feel it deeply, acknowledge its presence and right to exist, and then allow it to transform. This works because then you are actually getting to the wound itself, not the defense mechanism surrounding the wound, which is where the energy of anger is created. When you work on the wound, you are getting at the root cause. This is why I always encourage people to take some deep breaths and if necessary change locations (e.g. take a walk or go to a different room) when feeling triggered by another person. When you take a pause before responding to something that triggers you, it allow you to access a higher-vibrational response. Sometimes the high-vibrational response could be to wait until later, or could be no response at all.
Being on a spiritual journey doesn't mean feeling good all the time—and not feeling good all the time doesn't mean that you're not on a spiritual journey. It can be said that the human experience is an emotional experience. We experience a wide range of emotions in the physical body, and each one is important, whether it feels good or not. There will be periods in your life when you are flying high and feeling the good and fun emotions much of the time; and there will also be times in your life when you will need to face uncomfortable emotions over and over again.
Life could be said to be a delicate and fascinating interplay between free will and destiny. When it comes to emotions, we definitely have the right and the power to lift ourselves emotionally through words, actions, meditation, visualization, exercise and more. This is helpful for everyone, but it is especially helpful for those with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms. The PTSD can wire the brain to feel the trauma over and over again, and making a daily effort to elevate one's mood can be incredibly helpful, both in the short- and long-term. On the other side of the token—but just as important—is the idea of honoring all of your emotions rather than pushing them away. Consciously elevating your mood on a daily basis doesn't mean you avoid feeling. If you feel an overwhelming desire to cry, then cry! Let it flow, or it will just stay locked up, repressed. If you feel anger come on, take a moment to feel it deeply internally, and breathe with it (feel the core wound, even if only for a moment). Then, when the intensity of emotion passes, do whatever you can to elevate your mood (e.g. take a walk, hug your dog, put on music you like). Finding a balance between honoring all emotions and consciously elevating your mood puts you into a position of maintaining sound emotional health. This practice in emotional health very much has to do with the health of your sacral chakra. Unfelt, unacknowledged emotions is one way that this orange chakra that is centered about three inches below your navel gets blocked. The sacral chakra is also the center of creativity, as well as sexuality. Very talented creative people, like musicians, artists, writers, etc. aren't necessarily the healthiest and most balanced people emotionally (some are), but they always find ways to express their emotions through their art. The sweet spot in life is to become emotionally balanced, healthy, passionate, expressive and creative. LETTING GO OF JUDGMENT Pisces is the sign of duality (thus the yin/yang fishes), and the shadow side of Pisces is judgment. When you consciously work on letting go of judgment of your journey—including how in your mind you compare or line up with others who are on a similar path—you are transcending this Piscean duality and elevating more into the Unity Consciousness of the Aquarian Age.
Judgment of anything tends to hold it in place—whether this is an internal pattern of thought, a habit, a physical issue, or a bothersome life situation. Although this can sometimes seem like a cruel twist, it most certainly has a positive intention. We are being taught to move from duality to nonduality, to love the Shadow Self as much as the more enlightened self. Anything less than that unconditional love and acceptance will usually cause whatever is being judged to stubbornly stay in place. We are here to learn to accept ourselves fully, as well as to learn to come into alignment with the 'ISness' of life: learning to accept (and ultimately, be grateful for) whatever blessings, triumphs, trials or tribulations the omniscient Universe grants us. A wonderful question to ponder is this: What if everything that happens in my life is always for my greater good, no matter what? And if this were really true, would that change the way you think about life? Would it put you at peace?
Here are some other good questions to ask yourself (or preferably, to journal on) during this Pisces New Moon time:
What am I still holding against myself? -What am I still holding against the world? -What have I not yet been willing to forgive myself for? -What have I not yet been willing to forgive others for?
What bothers me or repulses me about the outside world? Is there anything about the outside world that I judge that I also tend to judge in myself?
Can I acknowledge that there is Divinity in darkness? Can I see the Divinity in my own Shadow aspects?
Can I bring just a little bit more acceptance to those things about myself that I have not been able to come to accept fully or come to peace with?
Can I bring just a little bit more acceptance to those things about myself that I feel others judge me for?
Can I bring just a little bit more acceptance to my exact life circumstances, as they are RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW? What if everything is actually going as planned?
Can I bring just a little bit more acceptance to what is going on in the world right now? What if everything is actually going as planned?
One of the things that I do with clients in my healing sessions is a process I created called Relinquishing Your Grievances. In it, I walk someone through a process of acknowledging, allowing and then releasing any grievances against self, other, God or life. Finding forgiveness and and letting go of grievances is one of the very best ways to free up space in your energetic field for you to grow, advance spiritually, and create/manifest what you desire in life. If you imagine the flow of your life being like a river, any grievances against self or other would be beaver dams built up in the river, stopping flow.
PSYCHIC READINGS & INTUITION When we are in Pisces season, our intuitive and psychic faculties are likely to be heightened. We really have a terrific opportunity to connect with our Higher Self, Spirit Guides, loved ones who have passed over, and any astral beings that we enjoy connecting with. The energetic climate is ripe for us to receive guidance regarding our journey ahead.
Be on the lookout for signs during this time. Schedule some meditation and nature time for yourself and intend to connect with your Higher Self and Guides, and receive guidance. It would also be a great time to do some intuitive writing. Here is a terrific exercise that I learned from one of Matt Kahn's group calls: write a letter to your angels or guides, asking them all the questions you have about your life, then write the answers as if your angels were writing through you. You'd be surprised at the clarity you'll get from doing this exercise. Pisces season is also a great time to do psychic/tarot/oracle card readings for yourself or to go to a trusted psychic. If there's anything in your life that you have a question about and it is something that you are emotionally invested in, it's usually better to go to a trusted psychic for guidance rather than trying to read cards for yourself. As hard as we dig for answers, it is generally always a lot easier to read for someone else than to read for oneself, because when reading for another you aren't emotionally invested, and thus you are likely able to interpret what you're reading from more of a neutral place. When you are reading for someone else, you aren't attached to any outcomes or emotions. You're not in their journey. However, as much as psychic readings can be incredibly helpful along your path, getting too many readings, especially from different readers, can be detrimental. When you're in a confusing period in your life, your desperation for answers can oddly enough draw you to psychics who aren't very good or whose channels aren't very clear that day. You might leave the reading feeling more confused, only to visit another psychic who tells you something totally different.
I know this from experience (haha). Years ago, when I was in a very confusing and unexplainable period in my life, I pretty much got nothing helpful from psychics, and was actually led astray by several. Later, when my life smoothed out a bit, I recognized that the reason I went through this was that my soul was asking me to learn discernment, to learn how to use and to trust my own intuition (something I'm still refining to this day), and also to surrender to the reality that I didn't actually need to know all the steps ahead of me in order to make a move.
I am so grateful that I was taught all three of these lessons pretty profoundly in a short period of time. The lack of accuracy in the readings I received really drove me to desire to be very accurate in my readings for others. Overwhelmingly, the feedback I receive from my readings today is very positive, and very often clients tell me later on that what I predicted in fact came true. Most importantly, though, I have given up the incessant desire of the ego to know exactly every step that's ahead. I have become much more comfortable with the concept of Free Will and that in fact the future is not set in stone. Trial and error is OK, it's a natural part of being human! Neptune—the modern ruler of Pisces—is the planet that rules over illusion. There is a fine line between intuition and illusion, and there is also a fine line between an accurate psychic reading and illusion. I wrote a bit about discernment in my Virgo Full Moon article two weeks ago, so give that a read if you haven't already. Learning discernment is key on the spiritual journey; always keep a filter of a healthy skeptic in the back of your mind. If you'd like a copy of my e-book Learning the Skills of Discernment and Intuition for free, please send me a message through the Contact Me page. though you will need to agree to be added to my e-mail list for my articles, videos, shows, promotions, etc. in order to receive the free copy (you can unsubscribe at any time). There's also a great paid webinar called Mastering Your Intuition, in which I discuss discernment at length. THIRD EYE & THE DREAM WORLD Oftentimes I get asked by people whether their third eye is open or closed, and how to open it. Well, first of all, almost everyone's third eye chakra is open to some extent. The third eye chakra is not only in charge of clairvoyance, but it also is also associated with the quality of your thoughts and your decision-making. It can be said that all potential realities come in through the back of your third eye chakra, you ponder the decisions in your mind, and then the choices you make comes out of the front of your third eye chakra. So, yes the third eye chakra has more of a function than just clairvoyance. It is also used to visualize and imagine. If you have trouble visualizing, then that could be an indication that your third eye chakra is not operating at its optimal function. I kind of liken the third eye to a shipping dock that handles both imports and exports. You can export by visualizing or imagining, or you can import by seeing/receiving visions. It's two different functions of the same mechanism. So, in order to open up the 'importing' function of the third eye, it can be very helpful to practice more and more with the 'exporting' function. Visualize! Do guided meditations as much as you can. Or simply, set your intention to connect to a place or a period in time (e.g. Lemuria, Ancient Egypt, the Pleiades, your own future) and allow yourself to be taken there. This takes a lot of practice, and you will likely doubt yourself. There's really no clear answer on how to know whether what you're seeing with your third eye is real or illusory (both fall in the realm of Neptune), so use your intuition (also Neptune/Pisces), but also ask whether what you saw makes sense? As I said before, keep a healthy skeptic's mindset, at least in the back of your mind. Perhaps what you're seeing is totally real and accurate, perhaps its somewhat real and accurate, or perhaps it's an illusion. What does your intuition say afterward? What does your logical mind say afterward? Use input from both to form an opinion on the accuracy of your third eye experience. If you'd like to do a safe, guided astral journey with an experienced practitioner, check out my Starseed Discovery Sessions, Past Life Regressions, and Future Life Progressions. I often hear from clients that they tried to do something like past-life journeying on their own and they didn't get very far—then when they did the Past Life Regression with me, it worked perfectly. It tends to be easier to journey when you are guided. A Past Life Regression that I did almost a decade ago was one of my first really profound awakening experiences, and it's the reason why I started doing Past Life Regressions for clients. The Starseed Discovery Session and Future Life Progression sessions were concepts that were downloaded through me just a few years ago, and I have found them to be very unique and valuable tools for clients to experience new angles of self-discovery.
Another great way to get in touch with the Neptune-ness of this New Moon cycle is to keep a dream journal.
I find my dream world to be fun and fascinating. I often don't want to wake up because I want to see where the dream will go next. If I wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, then when I lay back down, I am excited to re-enter the dream, hopefully where it left off, like I had hit the pause button on my remote control while watching a movie.
Sometimes I find meanings in my dreams, while oftentimes I just see my dreamworld adventures as fun/interesting experiences. If you really want to get serious about interpreting your dreams, then keep a dream journal; and don't take anything from a dream book or a YouTube video or webpage about dream symbols at face value. Dream interpretation is extremely complex and personal. Sometimes just one or two symbols in a dream are the really relevant parts when it comes to interpretation. But the theme and feeling of the dream must be taken into account, as well as—most importantly—how you felt about the symbols during the dream.
As Pisces is such an etheric, spiritual aspect of the Zodiac, part of its higher wisdom is to help us learn to become present with life, however life may flow. Any practice that brings you into sacred presence, such as nature walks, exercise, meditation, chanting, baths, prayer, etc. will be very valuable at this time.
Listening to talks by Eckhart Tolle or reading (or re-reading) The Power of Now or A New Earth would also be great for this New Moon cycle.
Another great practice would be to place your feet in a river or a stream, and really get into communion with the ISness of the flowing water. Life always flows, no matter what; and the present moment is the only moment that is truly real.
As I pointed out previously, Venus conjuncts Neptune, the moon and the sun. Neptune and Venus together create an archetype of the 'ideal lover' (like in a fairytale). People may be prone to being overly idealistic in searching for a romantic partner at this time; and some may actually find that dream partner, or think they've found that dream partner. Existing romantic relationships can be strengthened if the partners focus on the positives and allow themselves to be spontaneous and explore new things together.
Remember to bring a grounded view to romantic relationships—especially with this conjunction and the Pisces stellium. Make sure something really is working (or will be able to work) in the real world—not just the 'Neptune world'--and try to avoid being overly idealistic (and also avoid having unreasonable expectations).
In business dealings (as money is ruled by Venus), make sure that everyone is truly on the same page and that all the details are discussed thoroughly. People may tend to be unrealistic with projections or with projects at this time. Be careful about taking on risky or expensive propositions; make sure you have all the details first and that the projections are realistic.
Many people will also really enjoy indulging in fantasy and science fiction movies at this time with all this Pisces energy.
Wishing you a joyful New Moon in Pisces!
